Breaking through the wall of inertia

by Coach Davender on February 17, 2006

What is the best way to stop procrastination?

… finding the motivation to move, or
… first moving then finding the motivation

I find that the longer I put off action, then the larger the inertia builds up, eventually becoming a wall where nothing gets done.

So I say, when stuck, do something. Anything. Anything to break the hold of inertia.

Then, once underway, find the motivation or direction, or even make a plan.

But first, move.

For heaven’s sake, don’t get sucked into first finding your “motivation”… it becomes a black hole that is impossible to escape!

“Create a definite plan for carrying out your desire and begin at once, whether you ready or not, to put this plan into action.”
– Napoleon Hill
