Don't Race The Lights

You know the feeling when you are driving down the boulevard and all you see are green lights all the way to the horizon? Do you feel the urge to speed up, so you can catch all of them?

Well, if you do, the lights will suddenly turn yellow and red, forcing you to stop.

The trick is to find the speed for which the lights are synchronized. It is probably slower than the surrounding traffic. Ignore it. Let the others pass you. Maintain your pace, and you will breeze right through, hardly lifting your foot from the gas pedal.

This is what flow is all about: finding the pace that synchs with all of the opportunities before you and maintaining it, no matter what everyone else is doing.
